RailsConf 2007 Flex on Rails BoF
May 9th, 2007
I'm going to be moderating a "Flex on Rails" BoF at RailsConf 2007.
It is currently scheduled for Thursday, May 17, from 7:30pm - 8:30pm at the c122 room.
From the summary: "This BOF is for developers who are interested in using Adobe Flex 2 and Ruby on Rails together to build rich Internet applications. Topics that could be discussed include REST, Cairngorm, WebORB, HTTPService, etc--basically, all topics that are part of the interaction between Flex and Rails. Developers are invited to share their experiences about what works well and what doesn't, and to demo anything cool that they have done using Flex and Rails together."
I called the BoF "Flex on Rails" to emphasize that it's not about my book, it's about Flex and Rails in general. Anyone who is doing anything with Flex and Rails should come (and demo if they want)! (Of course, if you're new to Flex and/or Rails and curious to see how they fit together, you're welcome to come too!)
Also, it's called "Flex on Rails" as my homage to Derek Wischusen, who not only runs the always excellent flexonrails.net but who is also trying to become King of the Adobe Flex Developer Center. Vote for Derek here.
